This interactive map presents annual county-level corn estimates published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Service (USDA NASS). Coverage begins in 1910 and extends through 2025.
Data were obtained from the USDA NASS Quick Stats database under the Survey program. These are annual agricultural survey estimates rather than the five-year Census of Agriculture dataset.
Grain and silage measures are presented separately and should not be combined into one total-corn series.
The map covers United States counties, but data are displayed only where USDA NASS published an estimate for the selected year and measure. An unshaded county generally indicates that no value was published; it should not automatically be interpreted as zero.
Source data were downloaded from the USDA NASS Quick Stats database and restructured for CU-CAT Maps. County identifiers were standardized using FIPS codes. Missing values remain blank and were not replaced with zeros.

Use the controls above the map to choose what to display, how to display it, and what to save or report.
Regions colors each mapped area according to its value or category. Use it for exact regional comparisons, popups, labels, and reporting.
Surface estimates a continuous pattern from values associated with the mapped regions. Use it to explore broad spatial trends rather than to infer exact values between regions.
Start simply: choose the view and variable first. Open Advanced only when you need to adjust classification, colors, opacity, interpolation, or other display settings.
Exported map images include the data layers and legend but omit third-party basemap tiles.
